I am thrilled and excited to be back!
I began waxing myself at home in 2005 because I was intimidated by having a Brazilian service performed by a random person at a salon. I was only a year out from having my first child, I was feeling self-conscious with all the changes in my body and thought waxing my hoo-ha would give me some pre-motherhood mojo back. I will be honest, it did. But it came at a price! My first waxing experience was pretty awful but makes for a funny story. Little did I know, down the road my career path would lead me here to provide a better first experience for my clients.
I continued to refine my at-home waxing method on myself (and a few brave family members and friends) over the years while teaching mathematics at VCU and BCC. During that time a close childhood friend of mine opened her beautiful organic spa, growing exponentially each year. We would collaborate on decorating each expansion and new location with whimsical ideas and a lot of girlish giggles. Being in the spa was so relaxing and grounding and I wanted more of that in my life. It was the encouragement of that friend that led me to pursue a waxing license and work in her spa. In 2015, ten years after that wild at-home waxing job, I received my waxing license and my sugaring certification. I loved my position at the spa, and I worked there for a few years before I left to have my second child. Managing my own business gives me the flexibility to be available for my children and at the same time have an enjoyable, rewarding career. Keeping everything in balance!
I make every effort to ensure each client feels comfortable and safe with my bikini sugaring because it is such a personal experience. Many women have insecurities with their bodies, especially with this type of service. I believe all women are beautifully unique and you are welcomed here without judgement. I strive to provide a fantastic result that leaves women feeling empowered, sexy, and confident. My treatment room is also carefully designed for a relaxing spa-like experience to illustrate my belief that each woman is and deserves to feel like a goddess!
